Another book kept me up.
Sep. 25th, 2008 07:00 amI just finished The Crown of Dalemark and yes I haven't slept. I meant to but I just kept reading and now its light out and I'm awake. I'll be good and go to bed right after the dinner party tonight. Oh and the Mitt in Bar who's mun is wonderfully secretive plays him so dead on and if I could pick someone I thought I could do justice to, I would love to give him a canonmate.
My thoughts on The Dalemark Quartet is that I think they're four of my favorite books of Diana Wynne Jones' though in the last one she gets sneaky and rather like David Eddings. I'm not going to say anymore because I don't want to spoil anyone. Also now I want to read all four of them in a row again so I can get a better sense of the whole picture. She's just so good and all the characters were wonderful as they always are but they just fit in.
It looks like a storm's coming, the trees are moving about rather a lot in the wind and its a bit grey. Well, I'm walking into town, I just might need to be a bit more bundled up is all.
I haven't slept but at the moment I'm doing alright. I think another part of it is that I've been fretting about hearing from Haverford which isn't good for me either I'll hear from them or I won't but I wrote an amazing cover letter and I have a strong resume, can't ask for more. Its rather early so my thoughts are rambling a bit, but I do feel hopeful. I know finding a job isn't easy but the right one is out there for me and I'm just going to keep putting myself out there and then at some point, it will click.
