Distractions Please

I just posted this on my Tumblr and I'm putting it here too. Though for here, instead of asks, suggestions for posts or anything you're curious would be great along with prompts.

I need help keeping my mind busy as my sister’s in the midst of a major surgery. Please send asks or prompts from any memes floating around or any ideas you have. At the moment, the easiest canon for me to write is Rogue One but try me with any others that I’ve mentioned. Thank you.

ETA: My sister is out of surgery and resting, it all seems to have gone well.

Rogue One prompt: Bodhi and food

Need to eat (set before Scarif, they had to have eaten)

The mess hall on Yavin 4 was hard to find, he'd had to track Cassian and the smell of food. When he'd lost Cassian around a turn, Baze appeared and slung an arm over him, "Food's this way, Chirrut's nose never lies." He laughed at being found and when they finally made it to the mess hall, it felt like chaos compared to the Empire. There was a line but there was the hum of friendships and trust, it was nice.

By the time he got his food, he almost didn't care what it was and found Baze's bulk to sit down. Chirrut was sitting next to Cassian who looked unsure, he didn't know Cassian could look that unsure and he almost thought he saw a smile. He sat down and had that odd feeling of belonging as he considered his food. The orange slop smelled of sweet and spicy spices, the bread was on the edge of stale, the meat overcooked but he liked the surprise. It had been years since he hadn't known exactly what he was going he was to eat for every meal.

Ooh, I really like that last line about always knowing what he was going to eat. It's such a great symbol for the blandness of the first order. Very lovely, thank you!
