ceitfianna | A little lost

Monday is hitting me rather hard and I don't like it. Last night around work wasn't great. On my walk up, there was a guy who I passed that just made me nervous and then on the walk back, my ankle started hurting. I'm trying to ready myself to do more pushing myself in job things. I need to send out more apps, write a librarian blog post and tomorrow I'm talking with a staffing agency. Overall I just wish I felt more hopeful, but that's a hard thing to call into being. I'm also feeling sad as I realize how many paid accounts I need to get my pup icons, but I'll manage that, it's just another nagging, money thought.

So that means I need distraction and am going to ask for prompts or picture requests. I will get to the Valentine's Day ones, I promise. My writing has just been coming in odd fits and starts lately. Also you don't have to do both memes. I'm just putting them down as they're the ones that seem to get my creativity going the most.

Give me a prompt of a lyric, line of poetry, or picture plus characters and/or setting. As always RP characters are always welcome.

...for reference, this could be something about any creative person you've met in this world, I got the phrase 'agent of the angel of surreality' from Camwyn the other day... so about us weirdoes who help people cope with shit by making them go 'wtf' and laugh.

Days like that are very hard. My advice would be to just keep breathing, and focus on one small thing at a time, not the all-encompassing whole. It helps, truly.

Photography suggestion: fire.

*leans on* Thanks. That's one of those things I know how to do but sometimes feel like I forget how to do that.

Fire will be an interesting suggestion. It reminds me that I keep being tempted by the candles at the local New Age/Pagan etc bookstore.

Some days it's harder than others. I have a whole meditation set up around focusing on the process of making a cup of tea in those moments when everything seems overwhelming. That helps, too.

How about for fic Charles trying to teach William something and failing. Personality clash maybe or perhaps just his teaching style doesn't work with William? You decide.

Wait, that doesn't really fulfill you request...well keep that one in mind if it inspires but another for Charles, "Don't waste your time on me you're already the voice inside my head." Can't think of a pairing so you'll have to decide on that.

I hate days like what you've had an I hope today is better. I'm avoiding FB games today so should be available for work on the Thalia/William date if you'd like.

The first one does work as a prompt for all that it's not in exactly the form. I like the second one as well.

That last sentence should have read "avoiding FB games and currently have a light workload" which went south pretty near after I posted that. Sorry.

That's how I read it the first time and no worries. Work happens.

"Shit, it ain't workin' and it ain't gonna," William cursed as the dust he had been trying to make into a brick fell apart. It was too delicate and fiddly and he couldn't do it.

He waited for a sigh or something from the professor but all he said was, "Yes, it will. Getting angry with it won't help anything. That's a place to start but not end up."

The answer was just slightly different words than the professor had been saying all day and William bit back a curse as he pushed the dust down and the ground opened for it. That was easy, he could make the ground shake and tremble even open, but when it was just dust in his hands, it slipped.

"Go get something to eat and we'll try again later," The professor said as William heard his chair go from the grass to the gravel near the porch.

He was supposed to be learning how to change things here, but it was ending up another mess. It didn't make sense how the professor could keep being so damn hopeful about everything when clearly everything fell apart. After staring at the ground for a few more minutes, William stood up and started towards the kitchen.

Jane spotted the box of books when she was visiting Alice and walked past it once before turning around to open the door. Alice laughed before turning around to watch her.

The selection was diverse and the books were clearly love, Jane carefully turned each one over in her hands before picking up the next one, "I have never seen anything quite so charming in all my life. They are simply placed here for all to enjoy."

Alice laughed at Jane's wonder before saying, "A book isn't worth anything if it's not read."

Charles was wet, not terribly wet just slightly wet as he rolled his wheelchair into Milliways. Ororo had quite good control but he wasn't quite sure how to get the cloud out of the old ballroom.

Jess found him as he was trying off his hair and giggled, "Did you find a spot of rain?"

He laughed as she leaned down for a kiss, "A controlled bit of rain though there's now a cloud in my house."

"Truly? Is it a charming cloud?"

"Quite charming."

Jess started to compose a song to clouds as Charles led her back to the house.
