Two More Days Until I'm on the Road

I just packed up all the books in my room and most of the random stuff which feels good and I will take pictures of all the boxes and furniture which have taken over the house too. I'm in that crazy place of just wanting to be gone but also being a bit nervous. I've never moved on this level before and its terrifying and exciting.

In good news, I have a phone interview for the reference job on Wednesday afternoon and I can post Demeter in the Bar again which makes me happy since the Boo!plot kind of messed with her a lot. Here have a meme that's been wandering around my flist, last seen on alas_a_llama's.

Will and Atton.

Will sees Atton as an older brother type of figure and someone who he also worries about quite a lot. He knows that Atton's faced a lot of hard things in his life and that comes through in his paranoia and various worries and he believes that Atton really doesn't realize how good a man he is.

One thing he likes so much about Atton is that there are certain things that he just doesn't have to explain, kind of like Doc, they can just be friends and silly and violent without talking. Though he does worry a lot about Atton because he knows how Atton's world is in someways even more violent than his own and he just wants Atton to find some kind of happiness.

Ann Arbor is an amazing place and I'm looking forward to getting to know it as a resident and starting MLS classes. Its just these last couple of days are pure insanity.

When I'm finally moved I will do a huge picture post of boxes, boxes in truck and then boxes in my place.

Will doesn't really understand Charlie, one of the things about Charlie that confuses him is how flippant Charlie can be. He sort of gets that its the way Charlie deals with the world but its the thing that makes him the most uncomfortable. I think its because he thinks Charlie doesn't really know how to deal with just how different their times are and hides it in teasing Will. He does like Charlie since he can tell that Charlie is loyal and Teja loves him, its just that he doesn't get Charlie.

Demeter sees Ganymede as almost an adopted child, because she worries how her brother might have messed him up by bringing him to live in Olympus and making him immortal. She's happy to see him coming more into his own at Milliways though she doesn't always understand his choices. In the end she just wants him to have as much of his own life as he can without too much left over trouble from the gods.

First of all, GOOD LUCK on the move, the interview, and the eventual start of classes! I loved library school -- even when it drove me crazy -- and I hope you will too. :D

Second, for the meme-shaped things: Gaeta and Demeter? (And I haven't forgotten your response to my meme! I'm going to set aside a chunk of time tonight to get that done.)

I know I probably asked you this but forget. Where did you do your library schooling and what was your specialty?

Demeter worries and cares so much about Gaeta. In her mind, he's the equivalent of a farmer somewhere in Greece who's working a hard scrap of land and who just keeps having bad luck. She does what she can and constantly worries since so far she hasn't figured out how to actually make him truly happy. His smiles are just so rare but wonderful when they appear, that she wants them more.

Also one day, she would love to visit his world since it also worries her, with good reason and she just wants to be able to do more. She wishes that she knew how to take down some of the walls he has up around him since they're so strong and it makes her wonder who hurt him so badly and how can she hurt them.

I specialized in preservation management at the University of Pittsburgh. (I think I may have missed this -- for which I apologize -- but what specialties are you thinking about doing?)

And oh, Dem. *hugs her a lot* I am a little bit afraid of what may happen if she ever runs into Gaius Baltar.

I'm considering either reference or Youth library stuff since I'd love to be really fostering that love of reading as early as possible.

Hee, that would be so much fun and evil all at once. I just love their interaction since he just well satisfies some odd part of her, its maternal but also the part of her that's the goddess Demeter. I don't know, its wonderful and confusing.
