I hate 500!

That stupid assignment was due this morning not tomorrow morning. I thought I was fine since the last one was due on a Wednesday morning and it turns out it was this morning.

All my feeling of oh good I did it just left as my shoulders tensed up. I emailed my GSI or TA to find out how much trouble I'll be in but damn it.

I hate these kind of small assignments that are turned in oddly in relation to when the class is. It throws me off and I want to yell that I'm not a bad student, I'm not!

ETA: Its due the 7th which is today since its after midnight and its technically due at 8 am so I'm early.

Lots of Things to Do

I think that egg in a hole or at least my version has become my fall back meal at least for these first couple of months. My version of it is that I lightly toast some good bread at the moment its Zingerman's sourdough loaf, cut a hole in the center of each piece and put them in a pan, then I add an egg to the center and fry it. I tend to cook them I guess over easy because I love dipping the bread in the gooey yolk.

I've just been printing out directions before heading out to interview someone for 501, I need to stop being so nervous. I've driven on big highways before and can do this, its just the nervousness of I don't know Michigan.

Though if I can make it through all of this stuff tonight, I get to see the Punch Brothers and that makes me so utterly happy. I'm probably going to walk to the concert because its on campus and parking in Ann Arbor can be crazy.

This is the very first icon that I ever made and its a close up on the Ace of Cups on the Faery Wicca Tarot. I picked it because it was so pretty and had a lot of fun making it on my mother's scanner.

bookelfe made this icon for me when suddenly I had icon space to fill. I like it because I used to play the flute and it has a lovely mythological feel to it.

All around the Wellington waterfront, there are these quotes in stone and this is my favorite one. Its says, "I live at the end of the universe just like everyone else." Now its sort of my Milliways icon but also my New Zealand one because I just love the look of it.

I found this on a wonderful icon community called mignolagraphics and I chose it mainly for my original character, Tiwa, because it has something of her playful, Fae spirit to it.

I found the cat base one basicbases and it reminded me of my cat Charlie that I had while growing up. He was a wonderful old tiger cat and I added the text because it just seemed appropriate. Also I didn't really have a good, you realize that you're full of it icon. This doesn't get quite as much use as it might but it still makes me smile.

And Things Worked Out!

The Punch Brothers rocked so much, I want to see them again and hang out with them and listen to their music while driving. I needed that so much. There is something utterly fantastic about live music and I want to perform again and just so much good stuff.

Also I drove successfully to Troy, Michigan with my awesome classmate navigating and we only got lost once and found our way again. Though Michigan drivers are insane as are the merges. The speed limit is 70, that is slightly scary.

Oh and I need to change my oil, the light came on right before I left and that was a little disconcerting. the_croupier, where's a good and trustworthy place to get my oil done?
